In this one-day workshop, we explore three essential elements of living, to help you de-stress and relax, and to keep you sane, buoyant, and chirpy, with a healthy perspective on the roller coaster we call Life!!!
Here are those three essential elements to keep a handle on:
Live – and that means truly Living, not just existing each day with a knee-jerk reaction to whatever happens in your life. This includes:
- making a plan and having the best day possible
- organising time out just for you – every day!
- making time, every so often, for those things you enjoy doing or being
- putting your time and effort into things over which you have control
Laugh – if ever there was one important thing that human beings need to do every day of their life, it is to laugh. Laughter is:
- the best medicine – truly! It keeps you physically healthy
- an essential human need in psychological terms
- a major path in maintaining your mental strength
- one of the best ‘feel-goods’ we have on this planet
Learn to Let Go – I say ‘learn’ as letting go is not necessarily easy and can take some time. In part, this comes back to our early training or our learned experiences throughout our life. We look at things like:
- why we seem to stop ourselves from getting the best out of life
- how holding onto resentment can have a detrimental effect on us
- practising forgiveness – it’s the key to happiness
- learning to see things from a different perspective
- realising that we are never upset for the reason we think
- accepting those past events are done and dusted and remain in the past
